Hi gang,
New member here, I plan on coming down in a few weeks, if anyone has any recommendations on where to stay please let me know good locations. If I like it, I plan on moving there permanently. Is hard to find employment? Also what is involved in opening a bank account and obtaining residency? Thanks for any suggestions. Chris |

Xalapa, Cordoba, or Orizaba are good locations out of the heat of the coast. Forget about employment. For a bank account you will need a FM-3 visa. Check at this site for FM-3 requirementshttp://www.inami.gob.mx/EN/index.php...live_in_Mexico

Hi Chris,
I hope is not too late. Joaquin is right Xalapa is quite nice, I lived there myself. However, look into Boca Del Rio, it`s about 30 minutes south of Veracruz port. I spent a few days there back in June at a Holiday Inn and for a minute felt like I was somewhere in Florida, it may however be a bit higher in price but still worth exploring. Best of Luck, - Steven
