Darlene, if you mean other sites with boards like this one, you might google the Thorn Tree, Lonely Planet's site. Try the Mexico branch. Mexconnect is another site, but they are by subscription only.

Try the following:

http://www.getphpbb.com/phpbb/index....m=sparksmexico

http://members5.boardhost.com/lamanzanilla/

www.visitchapla.com/bb/index.php

There is also a board for SMA but I lost the address when I got my new PC.

Default Cool!

I never bothered with place-specific sites, thinking for some reason that they wouldn`t have much "general" information. It looks like they have plenty to make them worth cruising. All you folks have just about convinced me to move- all I have to do is guess the right six numbers so I won`t need a paycheck and I`ll be on my way! Does anyone here use the Mexconnect site? I really don`t mind shelling out for something that warrants it, but I hate to put money into a pocket that doesn`t do anything to merit a payment. Does anyone consider the site worth $30 a year? If not, I guess there are still other sites out there. It`ll be a while before I even get done exploring the ones listed above and the links from them.

Thumbs up Is Mexconnect worth the 30 bucks?

I would vote "yes" on that. The mailbox that comes with it is well organized.
The forums are easy to navigate. The "search" function is useful.

It was invaluable when I was in the process of organizing the move to Mexico in 2004.

Default Paid Member Site

If you have absolutely no use for the mailbox, do you still think it's worth it? I was on there a few weeks back looking over the shoulder of a friend who is a member and didn't see a whole lot of info that I wasn't seeing on the other boards...
