Our mission team found travel to Aconchi a difficult task. Up until recently there were no restrictions in travel throughout Sonora, either through Nogales or Agua Prieta. Now however the Mexican authorities are showing a map of Sonora divided between east (blue) and west (yellow) sections, with passage prohibited between the two. After some discussion we were allowed to pass to Magdalena and to Sinoquipe and eventually Aconchi. But does anyone know about these new restrictions, or the suggestion that our team should travel first to Empalma and then into the interior? We would like to avoid any problems and still do everything required from a legal standpoint (we have a 15 passenger church van and a trailer). Magellan
