Hi ... doing some research for a book and I'm wondering what the legal blood alcohol limit is that is considered legally intoxicated in Mexico... and does it vary by state?

Your question interested me, so I ask one of my local friends. He said that he did not know the legal limits because it is mostly what the cop thinks -- if he says you're drunk, you go to jail.
There may be state laws defining "under the influence," but the reality of it is that in Mexico the police/Judaical system is not overly restricted by the letter of the law. I know this does not help your book, but that's life in Mexico.
