Default car route
We'll be driving from Guadalajara to San Miguel de Allende in December and wonder if anyone has a good route.

When you get to Guadalajara, buy a copy of Guia Roji, Gran Atlas. You will then be able to choose a route depending upon your need for speed, scenery or stops along the way. I think the latter will intrique you if you make it a liesurely trip.

Moving to Mexico requires doing some homework. You could start by reading "Streets of Glass". It will answer many of your questions. PM or Email for instructions on how to get a copy.
