Default Where would I start?

Hi...My brother moved to Cancun about 18 months ago to live and work. He would call on a regular basis but we never had a phone number or address for him. We have not heard from him now in over 6 months and we are very concerned. Does anyone have any idea how I would start looking for him? All I know is that he had/has a job selling condos/timeshare in Cancun/Mayan Riviera. His name is Michael McNally and he's 48 yrs old. Does it make sense to come down there or would that be a futile search? Are there private investigation services in Cancun? Any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks...

Default Displaced?

Your brother may have been displaced by the storm damage in Cancun which probably put a damper on some commercial activity. Did he ever mention to you that he went through the process of getting an FM3 Visa and working permission for his job; a legal necessity in Mexico? If so, perhaps Immigration would have a record of his current address which must be maintained current with them for the visa to remain valid. Otherwise, he is 'outside the law'. However, I don't know that Immigration would give out that information. Of course, you could go to Cancun and stroll around with a camera around your neck; any good time-share or condo salesman will spot you in a minute and it might be your brother, or someone who knows him. An obvious question comes to mind; do you think he really wants to be found? What mailing address does he use for US taxes, insurance, etc.? Does he have a car registered in the US?
Good luck.
