Question time

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the info. I am still wondering how long the drive is from San Miguel de Allende to Patzcuaro. Does anyone know? Is it a difficult drive- like getting car sick. I have two small childrem.

It will probably take about three to four hours depending on whether you take the toll roads where availible. Have a look at this link for good general info about driving in mexico.

I think 3-4 hours is a little optimistic. Patzcuaro is that far from Guadalajara

Default San Miguel to Patzcuaro

Count on 3.5-4.5 hours from San Miguel to Patzcuaro, depending on traffic and the route you drive. I travel from Queretero to Morelia all the time. The best route takes 2 hours, but you really need to know where you are going. I would recommend going from San Miguel-Celaya cuota- Salamanca, then south to Valle de Santiago-Moreleon-Morelia-Patzcuaro. This is probably the easiest route to follow on a map and you don't have to deal with Celaya that much, which can be confusing the 1st time through it.
