Default Good Rent, Nice Town, Cuauhtemoc, Chih

If you are on minimum retirement or Social Security or Disability income, (not S.S.I.), you can live in Mexico, and cheap. Studio apartments about $105.00 a month, 1-bedrooms, $145.00 to $180.00 a month. Two people can make it on $500.00 a month or less (though more is better for extras, etc.), including rent, utilities, and food. Buses to Cuauhtemoc are good, local bus service means car not necessary, though are nice. Buy local car cheap, insurance $100 a year, tags cheap, Mexican driver´s license easy to get. Walk to major store, good beef, many American products. Distance to Texas, 4 1/2 hours, N.M. 7-hours, AZ 8-hours. Great climate. My wife and I have great Mexican landlords. The neighborhood takes getting used to, is old, but nice, working class people, very friendly. This is not for druggies or drunks (all things in moderation, right). If you can not afford America anymore and want a tranquil life, we can help. This is Americans helping other Americans and Canadians, nothing more.

Quién Soy Yo? has a spectacular aura about
Default Cuauhtemoc, Chihuahua

Cuauhtemoc is located in the northern Mexican state of Chihuahua. It's probably best known to many people as a "Mennonite Community." It's good to see someone report from out-of-the-way locations where they're living satisfactorily. Not everyone wants/needs the beaches, big cities or English-only enclaves. By the way what's happened to Dr. Charles from just north of Leon?

Default I hope he is well

QSY,
I don't know, but I know him to be a kind and generous man who helped me and my family when we were looking to settle in Mexico after I retired.
I assume he is still in Lagos De Moreno with his lovely wife and son.
