Air Travel inside Mexico

Does anyone have any good sites or contacts for purchasing tickets for air travel inside Mexico? I've been reading a lot of articles lately about the "rebirth" of Mexicos domestic airlines with a lot of lower priced carriers supposedly coming in, but I have yet to find out where/when I can capitalize on these deals.

I'm hoping to fly to Chihuahua (CUU) from either Mexico City or Puebla to check out Copper Canyon; probably sometime in January or so. The bus ride is pretty prohibitivly long, as would a car ride be.

Areomexico and Mexicana both have websites where you can search fares and buy online. Prices aren't cheap but are not unreasonable.

You are probably a couple of years ahead of the proposed new airlines that are coming supposedly with lower fares. Just read an article from the Houston Chronicle today and it says: "Click Mexicana" has won over passengers with its discount fares. One senator from Coahuila says he is saving 400 to 500 pesos per flight but that the service leaves something to be desired, they always run late (have we heard those stories before NOB?) But they did turn a profit their first month of operation.

The article went on to say billionaire, Carlos Slim (Senor Telmex) is one of four investors that will began a low cost airline starting mid 2006.
