Lightbulb Taking motor home into Ensenada

We are wanting to drive our 22' motor home to Ensenda and had ? for crossing the border...is it possible to bring our own food in for the week
or are we better off buying it there, is the Costco in Ensenda the same
prices as in California or cheaper, and referals for RV parks? We are looking
forward to a fun time....

Hello again Smiley,

Not too sure about the price difference between Costco USA and Costco MEX. Generally goods produced in Mexico are going to be cheaper than American goods that are imported into Mexico. Either way there are numerous supermarkets in Ensenada that have just about anything you will need.

For a list of RV parks in the Ensenada, check out the following links: http://www.mexonline.com/ensenada/en...-RVcamping.htm

Default Ensenada RV

Sure no problem.........toll road all the way.
However it may be a good idea to stay in
a RV park. Have a good time!

Default Taking Motor Home to Ensenada

We have taken our motor home, which was 36' into Mexico. The roads are no problem as previouly mentioned. The hardest part is getting out of TJ, then you are home free. The new Costco just opened last month and it is about the same prices for food. However, any american electronic products and appliances are more expensive because of the import tax. There is also a Super Gigante, which is on the same road, but just closer to town, that is just as nice and has everything you need.

Bajagirl, Actually the American products sold at Costco are about 20% to 40% higher than in the U.S. It is a bargain if you purchase Mexican products at Costco in bulk.
