I am looking for a charity(s) in Mexico, possibly something like our Red Cross , Salvation Army, United Way, etc. Can anyone suggest a few? Would prefer some that are closer to Mazatlan but will take any and all recommendations. Gracias- Ajd

They are pretty active in Mexico. In cities with large numbers of retired Americans (e.g., greater Guadalajara) a good source of info about local charities would be the American Legion Hall.

MEXonline.com provides a list of non-profit agencies we provide advertising to, you'll find them at http://www.mexonline.com/noprofit.htm
I am sure any one of them would like to hear from someone who is willing to provide assistance.

Cruz Roja (Red Cross) has active chapters everywhere in the country. It runs the ambulance and hospital services in much of the nation. Their big fund raising drive was in May... but they can always use assistance --
