The topic of someone wanting to move to Mexico and buy a house, land, etc., arises rather frequently - and has been discussed in length. I suggest you work your way through the forums here and read what's been asked/answered before.
But, to summarize what's been said - it's the opinion of people who've taken that adventure that you get to know a location better by renting a place to live for the first year, before making a decision to buy. Actually living somewhere can be very different than visiting on vacation, or for short periods. It's generally an apples to oranges comparison.
There are legal requirements, depending where you live and want to buy, including visa considerations (minimum income test), etc. Lots of red tape and paperwork. And, there's the issue of your ability or lack thereof when it comes to communicating in Spanish.
