Hello. My family and I are interested in spending the summer of 2006 in Mexico. We do not know where to start ( what city, lodging, etc... ) We want to rent a furnished 2 bedroom, with ac, and a washer machine. We want it to be financially reasonable. We want to be amungst the people and there culture. So if you have any ideas please fill me in at melissabatts2000@yahoo.com
Thanks Melissa |

Do you want to live in area where very little English is spoken or a lot of English is spoken? A large expatriot community or none at all? Do you know any Spanish? Are you interested in Indigenous Cultures?
Do you want to live by the beach? in the mountains? near a lake? or a historic, Spanish colonial town in central Mexico? There are so many options, I'd suggest getting a few books on Mexico and reading up a bit. A book I like is called "Live Better South of the Border in Mexico" by Mike Nelson. I think gives you a fairly accurate, encapsulated look at a various places to live in Mexico - pros and cons. |
