travel in chiapas since hurricane

am in mex city, wanting to travel down to puerrto escondido area, laguna chacahua etc, is it possible since hurricane with flooding etc, also want to end up going to guatemala, hows crossing the border, is it possible?

I've only spoken to my friend who has family in Tuxtla, Chis and he says that his family is fine but travel is still pretty much impossible around them. If I were you I would probably wait or try to hit some more northern beaches in Guerrero.
