I have traveled quite a bit flying in and out of Mexico City and also make some trips to Hermosillo. I usually exchange for pesos at the airport, but I have a feeling I could get a better deal elsewhere, or even here in the USA before I leave. Does anyone have any suggestions on where the best exchange rates may be, both country wise and also actual cost of doing this?
Gracias, Jeff |

The BEST, easiest and safest thing is to use an ATM card, which will give you the interbank rate. Unless you're talking about thousands of dollars, the service fees and different rates between bank X and bank Y aren't worth arguing over.
And, unless you're talking about major financial transactions, any bank or casa de cambio is going to give you pretty much the same rate. |
