I am a Canadian citizen who has been living in the US as a resident alien and I am trying to work out a trip to Mexico on short notice. I have a Canadian birth certificate but my driver's license and social security card are US. I have a resident alien card but no passport. Does anyone know if this is sufficient? If not does anyone know what I would need or where I could find out? I haven't been able to track down reliable information.

I used My green card before becoming a US citizen and never had any problems.... but that was 15 years ago.

I am afraid 9/11 has changed things. I know in December a passport will be required but I don't know what is currently required.

I called my travel agent and was assured that as a US resident permanent alien all is needed is my resident card and a drivers license.
Call a travel agent and ask the same question. |
