I understand that a rental truck can be driven into Mexico (and back). Assuming that all the papers, names, etc., are in order,
and that one takes out Mexican insurance, is an ordinary Driver's License all that is needed? Should you have an International Driver's License? Thanks, WB |

The easiest thing about moving to Mexico was getting our International Driver's License. We went to the AAA office and had it in 20 minutes. So easy so cheap ($10) and really convenient. It was suggested to us that if we are ever stopped to show it and if they take it - so what. That way we would still have our US driver's license to fall back on.
