I don't think there is a problem as they sell them in most large stores. I bought one in Colima & go iguana & chachalaca hunting w/ my friends up in the jungle.

Color me curious, Seņor Mofles. What do you do with those babies after you nail ém? Eat them or admire them?

Well DonP. Since I live among the indigenous peoples up here in the mts. We eat what we shoot. The jungla that we live in has javali, iguanas, chachalacas & various other creatures that the natives of this area live on besides a poor diet of tortillas & frijoles.

Seņor Mofles, I am impressed. I thought there for a few moments you had little iguana heads on the wall of your hut there in the jungle. Well, maybe you do. Ni modo.

I remember seeing chachalacas once at the very southern tip of Texas which, I believe, is about as far north as they venture. They are some noisy critters.

It would be quite interesting for you to post some recipes for iguana and chachalaca and whatever other jungle creatures you eat over on the Mexican Food end. I doubt many people would cook up a batch, but it would make for interesting reading.

Itīs a good-sized bird, bigger than a bluejay, that inhabits mostly tropical areas, I believe. They are sooooo noisy. Do a goggle search, and you can see a photo. Mofles would know much more. He eats them!
