bunkashug has a spectacular aura about
Default leave and come back

I drove into to Mexico with my husband but have to fly back home for a week in June (we are doing a long driving trip). As long as I have my passport and FMT will I be ok to go for about 5 days and come back in. I am assuming it shouldn't be a problem..has anyone ever done this?

Thanks!

As long as you go through customs and are out of Mexico for 24 hours you can re-enter with a new FM. Remember if your husband is holding an FM he has to renew his permit before it expires. I do not know how long your FM is for as most are 180days but can be as short as 90 days depending on where you are coming from.

From what I heard it shouldn't be a problem.
