I'm hoping someone can advise. I am in the US from Brazil. Came in thru Mexico WI 5 years ago. I need to go back to see my parents who are dying but now have an American wife that I do not want to be separated from. I would be subject to a 10 year bar. If I go back thru Mexico would it benefit me to obtain a visa for Mexico here in the US at a Mexican Embassy. I am in a really bad situation here and can come up with no easy answers - everything I can think of carries a degree of risk and I want to have a normal life with my wife some day. Any advice is appreciated.

Do you have a green card or formal permission to stay in the USA?
Did you obtain an exit visa from Brasil upon your departure? Do you have proof of citizenship? Did you obtain an FMT tourist card when you passed through Mexico? Is your wife a US citizen? Does she have a passport or birth certificate from the USA? |
