Hi all,
I'm new to San Diego, and I was just wondering what some of the good locations to visit in Baja are and how long it takes to get to each one? I am an adventurous person looking to take a few trips with some of my friends and I would really appreciate some good feedback! Thank you! |

Hi there,
We have owned a house in Estero Beach for 6 years now, and it's a wonderful place to visit, and it's about an hour and 15 min. from the border. You just follow the signs towards Ensenada and make sure you take the toll road. Don't get off in Tijuana or Rosarito Beach, as there is a lot of violence happening there right now, but if you go to www.hotelesterobeach.com you can get an idea of what it's like. It's about 20 min. south of Ensenada, so you can also go into Ensenada, which is still a safe place to travel to, and have a great time at the clubs. Not a lot of Americans are traveling down there right now because of all the violence happening. Good luck! |

We own a house between Estero Beach and Maneadero. We always cross south and return through the Otay Mesa crossing, then take Blvd 2000 south to Popotla, and then pick up the toll road to Ensenada.
You eliminate driving through TJ and Rosarito and also bypass two toll booths. |
