Going to Mexico in 5 days!!!!

I am in Kansas City, MO and traveling with my fiance, who is illegal in the US, he is a Mexican, and my son who is 2.5 and was born in the US. I already know that my fiance will most likely not come back with us. Any information or anything anyone has i would greatly appreciate it.

Also, we are driving down there, my son and i do not have passports but we do have out birth certificates and social security cards...will we be ok to come back to the US?

Also, when we get to the border to go into Mexico will my fiance be asked anything or in trouble trying to get back into Mexico?

Where should we buy mexican car insurance?

I think thats all I need...any help would be greatly appreciated!

your boyfriend WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COME BACK TO THE US. you can bet on that. He will NOT have trouble going into Mexico although he might have to pay something. YOU MUST HAVE A PASSPORT. a birth certificate will not be enough any longer. 5 days before you go. impossiable to get a passport unless you go to a passport agent. if i was you i would postpone my trip until you get your passport. they might not allow you to return to the US. also if your car is not paid off and you owe on it and don't have title you CAN NOT TAKE YOUR CAR into mexico. your insurance does not cover you over there. Have you ever driven in mexico before? how far down are you going? i would not be driving alone on the way back if i was you. you have to be careful.
