Hi!
We are planning a trip a 2-week trip to Mexico in November. We are in our mid-twenties and don't want to spend time in super touristy areas, but would rather rent a vehicle and tour around a bit. We are torn between the Yucatan region and flying into Mexico City and heading towards the central west coast (Tencacita area). Any suggestions on which is the best place to go at that time of year and perhaps suggestions of sites to see? We are both really interested in the archaeological ruins as well as into outdoor hiking. Thanks for the help with this ![]() Alicia & Alex |

You can go to the ruins outside Mexico City (they are actually in Mexico city but out of the metropolitan area). Here is the link to know a little more about it:
http://www.tenochtitlan.com/ I suggest you, if you know somebody in Mexico city to go with you. I love Mexico, is my coutry, but I have to accept Mexico City is kinda dangerous. |

Mexico has a lot of beautiful places, but for me a great combination of historical site and excellent beach is Tulum...an spectacular beach and amazing Maya Ruins...what else can you ask for?
