I'm in the states because of my fiance. I spent some months here and my fiance didn't have the money to send me back to Mexico on time for my passport expiration date. I am returning now but my passport (mexican) expired last month. But I do have my VISA and permission in order. Do you think they would give me problems in the airport? I am taking a flight from Detroit to Monterrey. I know in Mexico I will have no problems but I don't know if Detroit will let me get into the plane.

You need to contact the Mexican consulate in Detroit they will tell you what to do.

Oh no, they will tell me I need the passport and I may not, they just want me to get it by them, I know how that works. I was hopping someone got into the same situation. Passports in the consulate are sooo expensive and they need my birth certificate, and that's also an extra cost to bring it.
