Smile RV park within the city of Ensenada Baja

I, an adventurous 60 yr old lady, will be driving alone and towing a travel trailer to Ensenada, Baja California for the first time. My plan, upon arrival, is to park my vehicle and trailer in an RV park, and take the city buses to sightsee and shop within the city. (have experience doing this in other large Mexican cities) I have 4 questions.

1) Are there any RV parks within the city, rather than outside the city? (Hookups req'd, pool would be nice) Names, Addresses if you have them.

2)Roughly what could I currently expect to pay if I rented an RV pad in a park on a monthly basis?

3) Are there still problems with the cuota (toll road) going to Ensenada? (i.e. being run off the road, robbed, shot at, etc. as stated within the forums in 2006)

4)Is there a mail service in Ensenada that expats use to get their mail from the USA?
Thanks for any info you have!

Default Ensanada

Hi Adventerous lady,

I also am an adventerous lady spending as much time as possible in Mexico. The past four years I have driven over 7000 mile each year from San Diego to Chiapas and lots of other places going and coming. when I am home I go to Rosarito Beach and Tijuana once a week. My eye Dr. and dentist are in Tijuana.

Yes there is a , or the last time I saw it , good park in town and you could walk into town if you are a walker. I think you would have the best deal here but not knowing you.........I have answers to all of your questions but I do not have the time just now. I hopefully can finish this tomorrow night. I can possibly give you an Email and phone # of someone that can answer all of your questions that has a business in the city. I was there for a week last August .

Rene'e

I still have not connected with anyone who can give answers to the 4 questions about RV parks and traveling to Ensenada, Baja California that I posted. If you can answer them, I would love to read your post.

We stayed at Estero Beach Hotel Resort with RV park in 2007. Nice, gated RV park with pool, spa and bay view. We paid $25 USD for dry camping but they have hookups too. Email address is: reservations@hotelesterobeach.com Have fun!

I also second Estero Beach Resort. Several things to do at the resort, can catch a micro-bus just outside the gate to "downtown". The resort is located in the Chapultopec area, just "south" of main Ensenada. Plenty of shopping in local small stores and a couple of graet places to eat, including Mario's.

Another option, further south is the Punta Banda area around Campo LaJolla. Again a nice area, many american ex-pats. Follow Hwy 1 to Manedero and turn right.

When will you be making the trip????
