Default Disinfectant for food

I would welcome any and all ideas about how to disinfect produce while staying in Mexico. I have read that there is a product called Sans Bac but I don't know where to buy it. I don't know of any other product nor do I know how to use a diluted bleach solution that one of my friends suggested. Thanks to all. Larry

Default Safe food use

You may purchase anti-bacterial for produce at any Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Costco etc. in various sizes. The product we use was purchased at Sam's Club and is called Microdyn.
Purchase blemish free fruits and vegetables. Follow manufacturer's instructions.

Default How to disinfect produce

Before we spent 5 weeks in Mexico, I called Clorox and asked how to disinfect produce ... this is what he told me and what we did:
First, you purify your rinse water by adding 4 drops of Clorox bleach (Regular scent only) to 1 quart of water. Let this mixture stand for 30 minutes. The water should have a slight bleach smell. If not, add 4 more drops of bleach and let stand for 15 minutes before using.
To disinfect your produce, mix 1/2 teaspoon Clorox bleach (regular scent only) to 1 gallon water. Soak fruits and vegetables for 2 minutes. Rinse with the purified water you made (above).
You can buy Clorox bleach in Mexico, just be sure it is the regular scent. I took an eye dropper with me. Enjoy!

Default vegetables

all supermarkets have the special solution for vegetables, its usually on a rack around the vegetable area. normally place the vegetables in water and drop a couple of drops for 15 to 30 minutes.
for water, why battle the bleach process, you can pick up 2 or 3 water filtration jugs that come with a special filter.
