Default Felons allowed to travel into Mexico?

We are planning to go on vacation to Mexico, can felons be allowed in? He isn't on parole or probation, they were from a long time ago.

I stand to be corrected, but I don't think a past criminal record will come up at Mexican Customs/Immigration unless you mention it, and I don't recall ever reading anywhere that you are required to do so.
If you are Canadian, and your trip involves going through US Immigration at any point....into the US from Canada or back into the US from Mexico...that's where you'll have problems.
If you're a US citizen, I can't imagine you'll have any problems.

I agree with HolyMole, I don't actually think that the Mexican immigration has any real way of checking if you have a criminal record (the immigration computers are not tied into the canadian criminal history records). So unless you did something so bad that the government flagged your passport, you should have no problems.

Hope this helps.
