i was driving on the toll road at 10 pm......on the lane closest to the cement divider...... passing a semi-truck i could not see over the hill
when i came to the top of the hill at 70 mph there was a man with his t-shirt waving from the top of the cement divider

..... as i looked ahead i was shocked to see a car had crashed on the other side and pushed the cement divider on to my lane..... was lucky to get in front of semi.... followed by debri on the highway i found myself with a plastic bumper on the lane.... ran over it and while slowing down to a stop saw another car wrecked on the fast lane facing traffic......
i stopped with other motorists...... the area was pitch dark..... and all we had was cell phone flash lights to warn the on-coming traffic...
the 2 ladies on the 2nd crash clipped the car

on the lane and where thrown end over end.... fortunate they where o.k . no cuts or broken arms.... just a little shocked.
for a split second i could have been hurt or dead...... too much confidence driving on the toll roads down here.....
it would have been easy to use road flares but i did not have any....... just got some shipped to me this week... i want to be prepared next time.....
talking to the locals, there are many accidents on the highways and usually are followed by 2nd and 3rd accidents that crash into the original accident.
i was also fortunate to have replaced the headlights i had purchased at local parts store, they where about 60% of my originals..
