Real ID Act
New Members,
Many US expatriots in Mexico are not aware of the new law, Passed by US congress, and signed into law by President Bush on May 11, 2005, making all state drivers licenses conform to new rules by May of 2008. If you have to renew after that date (if you still even maintain a US DL), there may be some difficulties proving residency for those of us living permanently in Mexico. Google "Real ID Act" for info.
