How can I get a copy of a marriage certificate from Mexico????

I need to get a copy of a marriage certificate in Sausito, Zacatecas??? I have tried everything! If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE let me know.

Going to the town is about the best advice I can offer. Look for the office of the Registro Civil - keeper of many such official records. My second choice for record-checking is the local roman catholilc parish (there may be more than one).

As "Quién Soy Yo" says ... a visit to Registro Civil. Unless they do things differently these days ... most marriages are just entries in a log book. A friend had to do the same but her marriage dated back 15 years.

You do not have to go to the town where you think the person or persons died, got married, or was born to obtain any of these documents. In the capitol city of Zacatecas they will either have this on file or can request it for you from the small city or rancho anywhere in the state. Just look for the Registro Civil in the directory for Zac, Zac and ask them how to do it and they will mail it to you.
