Hi,
I happened on this website today and joined, so I thought I would introduce myself. I'm Larry and I live in Michoacan just east of Zamora with my wife of 21 years and our 13 yr old daughter. We live in my wife's hometown which is a little farm town in the mountains. My wife told me from the beginning she wanted to retire and return to her hometown to take care of her parents in their old age, so that's what we're doing. We have been here five years... this month as a matter of fact. I guess we like it. Pretty great climate, not a bad cost of living, small town atmosphere. The good outweighs the bad. Well, this is about as much as I've communicated with the outside world in a while, so I guess I'll leave it that for now. LB |

Welcome th the cyber community. We are in our fifth year though we have recently (6 months ago) relocated to GDL. The good we enjoy outweighs the bad for us too. We forst moved to PVR until we decided where we wanted to buy. That was Jaltemba Bay, north of PVR and about an hour and a half.
We built and enjoyed the home on the beach but missed the cultural opportunities offered in the city. So, we sold the house and moved to the city. We had some friends living here already and are making more, almost on a daily basis. It is a great city without having the stuffiness or impersonality of some cities. We are enjoying the return to city life. Glad to have you with us and look forward to your perspective on discussion threads.

LB,
We have been retired in Mexico for quite some time also. I also have one child left at home (son, 16) and a latina wife. We started our life here near Mexico City and have settled in Queretaro. We go back to US about once per year for a grandchildren fix and short visits. The children have sent one of the little ones down for a visit and that was an exciting month. Good to have you on the forum. Thomas Chubco Bear |

I just wanted to congratulate you and say I am envious of you and your family, I wish I could live over there. You're not missing much here, gas is too expensive, traffic is horrible, housing prices are sky high and si no trabajas no comes! Ranch life is beautiful in Mexico it's as if life stands still.
Keep communicating! Ana C |
